Topping-Out Ceremony at the New Schwerin Site on July 1

The topping-out ceremony for the biochar plant at Vink Chemicals’ new production site in Schwerin marks another important milestone. At this newest production site, Vink Chemicals will synthesize substances for its products and manufacture their blends. These substances are used, among other things, in production for the petrochemical industry as well as for other technical applications. “We are pleased with the current progress of construction, which represents an important step toward the future for us,” said Stephan Lauer, Managing Director of Vink Chemicals.
Electricity and Waste Heat from Sustainable Raw Materials
The biochar power plant built by pyropower is a central component of the entire complex. The production of biochar generates byproducts such as process steam, heat, and electricity. The plant is designed to cover a significant share of the energy required for production. Any surplus electricity will be fed into the public grid.
To produce biochar, Vink Chemicals also uses forest management and sawmill waste wood from the region: it is used as fuel for the biomass steam generator. For its three pyrolysis plants, Vink Chemicals also uses untreated waste wood supplied by local companies.
